Hello! My name is Bill Templin and I hope to be your next 

Mayor of East Grand Rapids. 

The past 17 years living and working in East Grand Rapids has confirmed for me that there is no better place to live. This autumn, as I walk through our neighborhoods and down our idyllic, tree-lined streets to meet you, I can't help but reflect on all the reasons why I am so fond of this special place we call home. We have the most incredible public schools; our parks are friendly and filled with children at play. Reeds and Fisk Lakes are beacons of fun all year around. At the heart of our community is Gaslight Village, with its wonderful restaurants and welcoming shops. What I think makes East Grand Rapids particularly special is our sense of community. Rarely will you find residents as interested, engaged, and invested in their city. As our city motto says, East Grand Rapids is “a better place to live.”
